We run a recreational sports club. We collect what it takes to put you on a roster, get you into a venue, take a payment and reach somebody if you get hurt. We do not sell any of it and there is no advertising anywhere in the app.

What we do not collect
No location tracking, no contacts, no advertising identifiers, no third party analytics or tracking software of any kind. The app has no ad network in it and we do not plan to add one.
payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. When you pay for a league, a pickup night or a membership, you enter your card details on Stripe's own checkout page. Your full card number never touches our systems and we cannot see it. We keep the amount, the date, what it was for, and an identifier that lets us match a payment to your account.
Stripe handles your card data as its own controller under its privacy policy.
who can see your information
Other members Your name and profile photo, on the rosters of teams you are on and in standings and results. Nothing else. Other members never see your email, phone, address, date of birth or emergency contact.
Club organisers
The people running the club can see your full profile, your payment history and your attendance, because that is what running a league requires.
Companies we use to operate
Supabase, where the database and your login live Stripe, for payments and membership billing Resend, which delivers our email Squarespace, which hosts this website Each of these processes data on our instructions to provide their service and for nothing else.
Venues and insurers
Some venues require a participant list to let a league in the door, and our insurer can require participant records in the event of a claim. We give the minimum asked for, which is normally just names.
Nobody else
We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We would hand over information if a court or the law required it, and we would tell you unless we were forbidden from doing so.
photos taken at games
We photograph games and socials and use those pictures in the app and on our own channels. If you are in one and would rather not be, email us and we will take it down.
how long we keep it
Your profile stays while your account exists. When you delete your account we erase your personal details straight away, as described on the delete your account page.
Payment records and signed waivers outlast the account. A waiver is the record of what somebody agreed to before playing, and payment records are financial history we are required to keep. Both stay attached to an account with no personal details left on it, for seven years.
your choices
See and correct it. Account, then Edit profile, in the app. Delete it. Same screen, at the bottom. See the full explanation. Get a copy. Email us and we will send you everything we hold on you. Stop the email. Every non-essential email has an unsubscribe link. We will still email you about a game you signed up for. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over your data. Email us and we will honour them.
security
Traffic to and from the app is encrypted. Access to member records is restricted at the database level, so a member account cannot read another member's details even if someone tried. Payment card data is held by Stripe, not by us.
No system is perfect. If we ever have a breach that affects you, we will tell you what happened and what to do about it.
age
Local Hearts Club is for adults. You must be 18 or older to have an account. Some events have a higher age limit of their own, and beer pong nights are 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect anything from children, and if we learn we have, we delete it.
changes to this policy
If we change it, the date at the top changes with it. If a change actually affects what we do with your information, we will tell you in the app or by email rather than quietly editing this page.
